In Mark 5:1-20, Jesus encounters a man tormented by demons, revealing His complete authority over evil. Satan and his forces seek to destroy, but Jesus defeats evil—both externally and within us—offering freedom, restoration, and a new identity. His very presence disrupts darkness, yet many feared losing their normal life and begged Him to leave. But Jesus calls us to wake up to the reality of spiritual warfare and stand in His authority. Like the healed man, we are sent as witnesses to proclaim what God has done and push back the darkness in His name.
