Then spend time worshipping, reading Scripture, and reflecting on how it applies to your life. Journaling what God speaks to your heart will help make this time even more meaningful. We also encourage you to try a "practice fast" for one meal on one of these days leading up to the fast.

Jesus is the bread of life and the source of living water. Spend a few minutes listing all the things you look to for sustenance outside of Jesus. Reflect on how these things cannot satisfy or sustain your soul like knowing Jesus as your savior.
