Our Bible Reading Plan is going on now!

WEDNESDAY

HE SATISFIES MY SOUL

Thank you for joining us as we seek God morning, noon, and night this week! To meaningfully connect with God in these times, we encourage you to go someplace quiet and away from distractions. Then spend time worshipping, reading Scripture, and reflecting on how it applies to your life. Journaling what God speaks to your heart will help make this time even more meaningful. We also encourage you to try a "practice fast" for one meal on one of these days leading up to the fast.

Scripture Reading
Psalm 42:1-2
As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the living God.
When can I go and stand before him?

Psalm 107:8-9

Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Reflection / Application
As we begin this week of seeking God, express your desire for more God in your life. Declare that He alone satisfies the longings of your soul and nothing else.

Scripture Reading
John 6:35
Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

John 7:37
On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’

Reflection / Application
Jesus is the bread of life and the source of living water. Spend a few minutes listing all the things you look to for sustenance outside of Jesus. Reflect on how these things cannot satisfy or sustain your soul like knowing Jesus as your savior.

John 15:11

Psalm 16:11
You will show me the way of life,
granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever.

Philippians 4:4
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!

Reflection / Application
Jesus gives us joy beyond anything else in the world. Spend a few minutes declaring the joy you have in the Lord.
