Jessica
Jessica Peek, a single mom, joined a Community Group searching for a place of belonging for herself and her daughter. Over the past year and a half, she has found so much more than just that—she’s experienced the love and care of Gospel hospitality. When her father passed away last term, the group surrounded her with support, provided meals, helped with his Celebration of Life, and walked with her through that difficult time. Jessica’s story is a beautiful reminder of how God’s love is shown through genuine community.
Karin
After enduring unbelievable tragedy early in life, Karin turned to partying to numb the pain and to fill the void in her life. She had an incredible encounter with God and gave her life to Him. Life was good, until she started back into her old patterns of self-reliance. God encountered with her again and clearly told her, "you are not the daughter of a murderer, you are the daughter of the King."
Kevin and Loraine
After living lives trying to hold everything together on their own, Kevin and Loraine decided to try church as one last ditch effort. They attended a OneLife service that week. During that service, Kevin boldly asked God, “if you’re real, show yourself to me.” In that moment, Kevin experienced the nearness and love of God for him and brought peace to his anxious heart. Joe and Jackie
Growing up in homes where Christianity was seen a crutch for the weak and God was angry and distant, Joe and Jackie lived independent, self-focused lives. But as that grew old and life became hard, they decided to turn to church to find God. As they committed to live for God, their skepticism began to fade as their relationship with God grew. They have found that growing in Jesus doesn't happen in an instant. It happens little by little as we engage in practices that help us devote our lives to the Lord and seek Him.
